Qualifications and experience

My name is Linda Fisher. I trained to teach Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) courses as well as the 'Finding Peace in a Frantic World' course at Oxford, Exeter and Bangor Universities. I am a Chartered Psychologist and listed as a qualified Mindfulness teacher on the the BAMBA website. I am also listed as a qualified teacher of the Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living course, developed in the Netherlands. I have trained to teach mindfulness and compassion-based practices to people with persistent pain and long-term health conditions and I am also a teacher-in-training for the Mindfulness-based Self-Compassion course.
I am experienced in working with people who have anxiety and depression alongside other physical long-term health conditions.
I am employed at a local NHS Trust as a CBT Therapist treating people with persistent face and mouth pain. During the course of my work, and most recently in the context of the Covid-19 crisis, I have used  brief mindfulness and compassion-based practices with both patients and colleagues.
I have a long-standing mindfulness meditation and compassion-based personal practice.
