This event is new for 2018 and has been developed for people who have impaired mobility. The event involves listening to an audio guide consisting of a collection of music, poetry and short meditations. The theme of the event is a mindful contemplation of our relationships with our own minds and bodies, the people with whom we share our lives and the world around us.
MP3 players with headphones and pre-loaded with the audio guide and ready for use will be supplied on the day.
The event is suitable for those who require a steadying arm whilst walking or people who use mobility scooters, wheelchairs or other mobility aids, provided they are able to safely access and navigate the sea wall via the sloping, tarmac 'launch' ramp accessed from the East Beach car park. Once we have gathered on the sea wall we will remain seated, either on the sea wall or in chairs or scooters for the duration of the event.
We will be meeting at 3pm in East Beach car park (near the ramp up to the sea wall) Selsey PO20 0SZ. The walking time for the event is minimal.
Please note that all places on this event are ticketed. A companion for someone using a mobility aid (frame, chair, scooter, etc.) or for someone who just needs a friend with a steadying arm to accompany them should purchase a Companion ticket. One free Companion ticket is available with each paid ticket.
Each paid ticket is £4 and tickets are available to book on the TicketSource website.
